Sharlene Phillips is one of Australia’s most respected equine photographers, known for her sharp eye, deep equine knowledge and ability to capture the bond between horse and rider. With over 35 years of experience in film, darkroom and digital photography, she brings unmatched skill and passion to every image.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts, Sharlene’s creative background spans drawing, animation, painting, sculpture, and photography and she is an award winning artist. Her lifelong connection with horses from a young age—guided by elite riders, judges, and coaches—gives her work its distinctive authenticity and depth.

As an accredited Australian Professional Photographer with certifications from AIPP, Boneo Park, and Equestrian Victoria, she specialises in Equine Portraiture and Equestrian Event Photography across Victoria and Australia. Her coverage includes interschool equestrian events, show jumping, horse trials, cross country, dressage, RDA, HRCAV, ARC, TTT, pony clubs, Equitana Australia, the Royal Melbourne Show, MI3DE, corporate events, clinics, horse shows, rodeos, reining & The Man From Snowy River Bush Festival.

Sharlene has been invited to photograph global equestrian icons, including Princess Nathalie of Denmark, George Morris, Lew Sterrett, and Her Majesty The Queen’s senior coachman, Philip Barnard Brown.

Beyond the arena, Sharlene is a licensed wildlife keeper and passionate frog conservationist. Her love of Australian frogs is part of the story behind OneEyedFrog Photographys name and mission.

Dear Sharlene and One Eyed Frog Photography, I am writing this letter on behalf of the Alpine Adult Riding Club to thank you for being part of our event and for your the time and donations you contributed to our Gala Weekend competition on 28th and 29th November. The photos are truly fantastic and it is so nice to have such beautiful reminders of the weekend. We would love to have you at our next event. It was a very successful weekend, with 70 entries for dressage on the Saturday and nearly 60 entries for showjumping on the Sunday. This was even more than we had hoped for with competitors coming from Albury, Gerogery, Snowy River, Wangaratta, Yackandandah, Indigo, Spring Plains and King Valley, and we were really pleased with the turnout and with how smoothly both days ran. We had lots of fantastic feedback from our competitors. They say they love coming to our competitions because the atmosphere is always so friendly and supportive, because the grounds and equipment are the best around and because the prizes are so good! So once again, thank you for helping make our weekend a huge success, each and every item donated by our sponsors helps and is much appreciated. We raised over $$$$ to put towards revamping our club rooms which makes it our most successful competition in a long time. It was a lot of hard work but it is worth it!

I would just like to say not only were the photos from Main Ridge Fundraiser at Boneo uploaded by the day after comp, i was able to purchase them AND receive the digital copies by early Tuesday morning.
